This evening we celebrated the McKinley Bulldogs
creativity and talent at the McKinley Showcase!
Calli and Caden did an awesome job of showing their artistic talents this year. After much thought, Calli decided to display her 3D shadow box of our Wisconsin Dells vacation from last summer she created (thanks for the help, Jo Jo). She considered showcasing her new talent of knitting that she learned from her Aunt Amanda, but unfortunately ran out of time to complete her project (scarf). Way to go Calli...your picture box is a beautiful way to remember our memories!
And of course, Caden created one of is all time favorite things...a snowmobile.
He had a lot of fun constructing this snowmobile made out of craft sticks and then finishing the final touches with paint. He and Mark spent several hours perfecting this project and it was a great creative outlet for the both of them. Nice job, Caden...I love the color!
McKinley set an all time record this year for entries into their Showcase...over 400 participants! It's great to see the children's creative sides as well as the musical performances. Each entry is labeled for viewing and is displayed by its category. Family, friends and teachers (staff) are encouraged to leave positive notes for each child, it really is exciting and rewarding for the kids to receive and read all their messages.
Congratulations on a job well done, my Bulldogs!
