We enjoyed a long weekend in San Diego, California to celebrate my sister's wedding. We have never attended a "destination wedding" and we're so thrilled to be a part of it. We are so happy for the newlyweds and wish them all the best in their new chapter of life...The newlyweds parted for one evening to celebrate with friends and family with a bachlor/bachlorette dinner....
Our next fun-filled event was off the San Diego Harbor for a whale watching excursion. The Bay was absolutely beautiful and the sea animals (whales, sea lions and dolphins) were amazing to see...that is if you could keep your eyes open or keep out of the barf bags!
Most friends and family had accommodations at the San Diego Hilton Mission Bay Resort & Spa. It was great to visit and meet everyone. The grounds of the resort were breathtaking and the kid's definitely enjoyed the pool...
Amanda and Sam also held their wedding ceremony rehearsal on the grounds of the resort. We had a great time collaborating who went where and when...
Friday evening we attended their Groom's Dinner at Buca di Peppo in downtown San Diego. We delighted in some wonderful Italian food and received many thoughtful gifts from the bride and groom for being a part of the wedding...
Getting ready for the BIG day on Saturday morning at Happy Nails and Coconuts Salon and Day Spa....my sister looked so amazing, she took my breath away.

Amanda & Sam held their wedding reception at the beautiful Prado in Balboa Park. It was a lovely, intimate place to gather and celebrate their new vows...
And the celebration continues into Sunday with an outing to the fabulous San Diego Zoo! It was a stunning zoo that is also known for it's botanical gardens. My sister is a volunteer at the San Diego Zoo, so it was great to have our own personal tour guide...

May your marriage bring you all the exquisite excitements a marriage should bring, and may life grant you also patience, tolerance and understanding. May you always need one another-not so much to fill your emptiness as to help you know your fullness. A mountain needs a valley to be complete; the valley does not make the mountain less, but more; and the valley is more a valley because it has a mountain towering over it. So let it be with you and you. May you need one another, but not out of weakness. May you want one another, but not out of lack. May you entice one another, but not compel one another. May you succeed in all important ways with one another, and not fail in the little graces. May you look for things to praise, often say, "I love you!" and take no notice of small faults. May you enter into the mystery which is the awareness of one another's presence -no more physical than spiritual, warm and near when you are side by side, and warm and near when you are in separate rooms or even distant cities. May you have happiness, and may you find it making one another happy. May you have love, and may you find it loving one another!
