We Did It Again...!

MACY Properties, LLC is growing! We officially closed this afternoon on our second rental property. This double bungalow is located in Fridley just south of Osborne Road, and is just blocks from our other rental duplex. We are so excited to do this again, we have been VERY FORTUNATE with our current renters. This property requires MUCH less work than the previous one, and we are hoping to have both sides up and ready to rent in 2-3 weeks. Wish us luck again as we embark on our expanding business...

Memorial Weekend Fun

We spent our second annual Memorial weekend in Wisconsin at the Barta's cabin on Little Sand Lake. The weather was absolutely great, and we had a fun time fishing, eating, movie seeing (Night at the Museum: Battle at the Smithsonian), more eating, biking, craft making, jet skiing, tubing and swimming. Yes, swimming was not a typo, the kid's this year even played IN the water due to the fabulous warm weather. Thanks again for another memorable time, Barta's!

Beginning A New Journey

Caden DID IT...he finished his last year of preschool at ABC Preschool. We celebrated his last day of preschool with his class "Down on the Farm" in Hugo. We had a wonderful time hanging out on the farm enjoying the animals, climbing in the hay, riding ponies, playing mini golf and riding tricyles/tractors. We ended our hoe down with some awesome songs sung by the class of 2022, witnessed their "graduation ceremony", and enjoyed delicious cake. What a bitter sweet moment for all us.........thank's Mrs. Krause and Annie for all your wonderful patience, dedication, and love, you have truly made a difference in our children's lives!
We will never forget you...

Now I know my ABC's,

Colors, shapes, and days.

I sang some songs,

Learned some poems, rhymes, and fingerplays.

I played outside on sunny days

And inside when it rained.

My little hands and little feet were busy every day.

My Teacher was Mrs. Krause

I kept her on her toes,

She tied my shoes, combed my hair, and even wiped my nose.

But now it's time to say "good-bye"

To all my preschool friends.

School is over, summer's here,

But learning never ends!

The Olympics

Calli did an awesome job today at her school's Olympics (their version of track & field day), we are so proud of her! Her third grade class represented the country of China. They competed in many activities as a team and as individuals, such as the soccer kick, overhead climb, shuttle run, ball skills, softball throw, distance run, hurdles, 50 yard dash, long jump and rope jump. Calli has a few favorites, as you can see from her award certificate below. She excelled in many areas receiving "blue" stickers for her certificate. But her most favorite activity is the jump rope! She loves to jump rope at home, the park, at neighbors, and so on..... Great job, Calli!

To My Children...

Just for this morning . . . . .I am going to smile when I see your face and laugh when I feel like crying.

Just for this morning . . . . .I will let you choose what you want to wear, and smile and say how perfect it is.

Just for this morning . . . . .I am going to step over the laundry, and pick you up and take you to the park to play.

Just for this morning . . . . .I will leave the dishes in the sink, and let you teach me how to put that puzzle of yours together.

Just for this afternoon . . . . .I will unplug the telephone and keep the computer off, and sit with you in the backyard and blow bubbles.

Just for this afternoon . . . . .I will not yell once, not even a tiny grumble when you scream and whine for the ice cream truck, and I will buy you one if he comes by.

Just for this afternoon . . . . .I won't worry about what you are going to be when you grow up, or second guess every decision I have made where you are concerned.

Just for this afternoon . . . . .I will let you help me bake cookies, and I won't stand over you trying to fix them.

Just for this afternoon . . . . .I will take us to Mc Donald's and buy us both a Happy Meal so you can have both toys.

Just for this evening . . . . .I will hold you in my arms and tell you a story about how you were born and how much I love you.

Just for this evening . . . . .I will let you splash in the tub and not get angry.
Just for this evening . . . . .I will let you stay up late while we sit on the porch and count all the stars.

Just for this evening . . . . .I will snuggle beside you for hours, and miss my favorite TV shows.

Just for this evening . . . .When I run my finger through your hair as you pray, I will simply be grateful that God has given me the greatest gift ever given.

And when I kiss you goodnight I will hold you a little tighter, a little longer.

It is then, that I will thank God for you, and ask him for nothing, except one more day .............

THANK YOU FOR BEING MY CHILDREN AND ALLOWING ME TO BE YOUR MOTHER...I LOVE YOU CALLI AND CADEN! THANKS FOR MY WONDERFUL MOTHER'S DAY!

Family Matters

We got together for our annual Mother's Day waterpark weekend. This year we stayed and played at the Mall of America's Waterpark. Everyone had a fanstastic time, swimming, eating, laughing, and enjoying each other's company. The kid's enjoyed the multiple water slides...and "some of the adults" as well. Unfortunately, Lynn was not one of them. I have never laughed so hard.....she immediately went into calming breathing excercises as we twisted and turned our way through the giant raft slide. That was her one and final trip down the water slides....does it bring back memories from the Rockin' Rollercoaster in Disney, Lynn??? Thanks again everyone for the laughs and memories of this past weekend.....!

Mom's Day at Preschool

I had the wonderful opportunity to share an afternoon with Caden at preschool. We had such a fantastic time being together as we enjoyed activities centered around the garden/flower theme. We created a painting with our handprints, painted a flower pot, played outdoor games, decorated a picture frame and enjoyed cupcakes in the shape of a flower. What a memory for the both of us...

I am your little flower, Mom
Please help me grow and bloom;
Take the weeds, but leave the roots
And give me lots of room.

Mom, you are my gardener;
My sunshine and my rain.
Too much will make me wither
With enough, I'll bloom again.

I am your little flower, Mom
I am, different from the rest;
Don't pick me Mom, just help me grow
To be my very best.
By: Rebecca Armstrong

A piece of me
I give to you.
I painted this flower
To say, "I love you."

The heart is you,
The hand is me.
To show we are friends-
The best there can be.

I hope you will save it
And look back someday
At the flower we shared
On your special day.

Come One, Come All...

Our birthday carnival was a big hit!!! All the children had a blast playing carnival games and enjoying delicious carnival food. They were still talking about the party at school on Monday. The mini donuts, popcorn and cotton candy were among the favorites of the kid's (and adults too). Our game activities included Balloon Darts, a Lollipop Tree, Duck Pond, Guess How Many?, Face Painting, Fishing, Ring Toss and the Jumper. Thanks to all our friends and family for your generous help running the games and food. We topped off the event with the gift opening, and cupcakes and ice cream. Kelly out did herself this year with the decorating of the "popcorn" cupcakes. They were just way too CUTE! Thanks agains, Kelly, for the awesome idea, time and patience you put forth. Thanks again to everyone else who participated in making this fun birthday happen, we couldn't have done it without YOU...

Bowling Budeez

We had a fun-filled, fantastic season of bowling at Ham Lake Lanes this year! I had the honor of being apart of "Bowling Budeez", a neigborhood ladies bowling team. We rotated 33 weeks of weekly bowling on Thursday evenings with 4 regulars and 3 subs. We had an amazing second half of the season, and came out on top......Bowling Budeez took first place in our league! We rounded out the season with our last game against the Muchahas Malas (first half winner's), but unfortunately lost by ONLY 34 pins....:( We reveled in our victory at our bowling banquet at Majestic Oaks this past week. Our team received many patches, pins and monies. I even got the award for the "Lowest Series Scratch", although not something to be to proud of...:) Thanks again ladies for teaching me the ropes, and for showing me such a good time....I look forward to what the Bowling Budeez can do in 2009-2010!
