Follow That Bike!

With the new year here...that means awhole new year of racing as well,
and some new changes for "Lightning Lekson" too...

1. Caden
has been invited to be a part of a BMX racing team named, Midwest Militia. It is a factory racing team co-lead by Doug Knollmaier (track operator for Rehbein's Indoor BMX Arena) and Troy Schnabel. The team consists of 15 riders of all ages and sexes; with Caden being the youngest male rider.

2. Caden
has BIG plans for his racing series in 2012...
He has asked us "to do more races", therefore, we have decided to race him more at the State Level this year and dabble in a few more National level races.

3. Caden did an awesome job at the Minnesota State Finals last August and accumulated enough points to earn a Top Ten STATE CHAMPION Title for his age (he placed 1oth)! With this title under his belt, his goal is to be #5 in the state by this August 2012...

4. Caden's new district bike plate number has changed to #50...last year's racing number was #95, so a jump of 45 places! He is currently number 50 out of 281 in our racing district (earned by points)!!!

5. Caden received his first ABA Grand Nationals bike plate! BMX racing brought us all the way down to Tulsa, Oklahoma for the BIGGEST race of the year at the end of November...
We spent five days living, eating, breathing and sleeping BMX. We enjoyed the thrill of racing and hanging out with our "BMX family...aka, Midwest Militia". Although, Caden didn't make it the mains at Grands, we were told that making it to semi-mains was a BIG accomplishment for his first year :)

We are so excited to see what Caden will do with his BMX racing in 2012 :)

Riding the Midwest Militia colors...black and white, Caden is in the lead for his first district race of the season at Rehbein's Indooor Arena (a.k.a "the barn").
Way to start of the 2012 racing series with a 1st Place, Caden!
