It is my priviledge to be the cookie manager of Calli's girl scout troop for the 4th year! We started out our Girl Scout cookie rally today with our traditional cookie party at our house. This year the girl's are Juniors and more responsibilty of cookie preparation and selling is being placed on them, as well as service goals, not just selling goals.
We started out the sweet festivities with the girl's filling out all their paperwork in preparation for selling the cookies. A new "responsibilty" this year as Juniors involves a service goal. The troop has decided to donate 10% of their proceeds to a local animal shelter. The girl's also voted on some rewards for attaining their selling goals. The top choices this year are: Jam Hops Gymnastic party or an ice skating party. The troop has set a goal of 1,650 boxes....good luck girl's!
And then onto a fun cookie craft.....this year the girl's created a "goal catcher" (a.k.a dream catcher) to remind them to aim for their 2 goals this selling season....
