We enjoyed yet another great time in Arizona this spring. It was a refreshing get away from the ongoing, everlasting winter weather here in Minnesota. We basked in the warm 80 degree sun, and relished the time we got to spend with Tom and Hailey in the mountains of Desert Hills. We partaked in our usual activities of bonfires, horseback riding, shopping, park playing and eating at The Horny Toad (our favorite restuarant). This year we took a 3 hour car excursion to the Grand Canyon...what a surreal wonder to see! The pictures don't do it justice, the depths and colors just can't be captured on camera. It is a miracle you just have to witness with your own eyes! Although, this is only my point of view.....if you ask Calli, she will tell you we just saw a big hole in the ground. I also experienced this trip, my first time driving Tom's Rubicon Jeep through a mountain trail. Wow, it was not like Minnesota four-wheeling, Arizona has much more terrain to view! We also had the opportunity to help Tom out with preparing and pouring a concrete patio. The kid's loved being able to be a part of the work. They got the chance to make their very own stepping stones to leave as a memory at Tom's. We look forward each year to the wonderful memories that we create in Arizona and the time spent with family...
